‘Heart Gallery’ exhibit opens in New Haven

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — It’s Foster Care Awareness Month, and Wednesday a special event was held in New Haven.

It was held at Jordan’s Furniture this morning. The owner, Elliot Tatelman is a foster parent. He debuted a permanent video exhibit in his showroom featuring children hoping to be adopted. It’s called the Heart Gallery. Tatelman knows firsthand the rewards of helping children who need a home.

“In some cases it leads to life-long relationships. In all cases it leads to a stronger personal tie,” said Gov. Dannel Malloy who made an appearance at the event.
