News outlets and business Facebook pages are broken across the world

(WTNH)–Some of the world’s biggest publishers are being kept from posting on their Facebook pages Wednesday morning.

A number of news outlets and companies with official Facebook pages are having problems posting on the social media site.

Independent reports that the issue will mean that many of the world’s biggest news outlets and other official pages won’t be able to post content onto the site, likely changing the look of people’s news feeds.

The glitch has some outlets turning to Facebook’s mobile app or social media publishing apps to push out content.

Our WTNH Facebook page is unable to post directly from a computer, but it is working on smartphone’s and social media apps.

When people try to post, they are shown a message saying “There was a problem updating your status. Please try again in a few minutes.”

Other companies are experience similar problems.

News 8 will keep you updated when the problem is fixed.
