State troopers look for driver wanted in high speed chase

VERNON, Conn. (WTNH) — State troopers are asking for the public’s help finding a vehicle involved in a high-speed chase.

The vehicle is being described as a a late model black Saab 9.3, with moderate front end damage and a broken passenger side head light.

The plate that was on the vehicle reads Connecticut, AC 56942.

On Tuesday, troopers say they attempted to stop the vehicle leaving Burger King for several motor vehicle violations.

The driver wouldn’t stop and took police along a 1-84 in a pursuit.

At one point the Saab hit a police cruiser attempting to get away.

Troopers say they ultimately terminated the chase in regard to public safety.

Anyone with information that can help is being asked to call state police at (203) 267-2200.
