Granby road reopened after car hits pedestrian

GRANBY, Conn. (WTNH)– Route 189 was closed in Granby Wednesday morning after a pedestrian was struck by a car.

Police say Granville Road, also known as Route 189, was closed in the 200 block after a car hit a pedestrian. The pedestrian has been identified as 23-year-old Evan Jackson of Windsor. Granby Police say Jackson sustained serious injuries, but they are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police also identified the operator of the car as 19-year-old Michelle Allen of Granby.

The incident remains under investigation and no charges have been filed.
