Officials: Body pulled from Connecticut River is missing Middletown teen

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTNH) — The body pulled from the Connecticut River Tuesday has been identified as that of missing 19-year-old Justina Alicea.

Alicea’s body was discovered by a couple who were fishing in the river at 5:40 Tuesday evening. The Medical Examiner confirmed that the body is in fact Alicea’s following a Wednesday morning autopsy.

Alicea was first reported missing to Middletown Police on Friday.

No details were released as to Alicea’s cause of death. Police say that no foul play is suspected.
