New London man faces gun and drug charges

New London, Conn. (WTNH)- A New London man faces up to thirty years behind if he’s convicted on the federal firearms and drug offenses he’s accused of committing.

A grand jury in New Haven has indicted 35 year old Ellsworth Robertson, who authorities say has residences in both Hartford and New London, in connection with a stabbing incident at the Mohegan Sun Casino on November 7, 2015.

Following his arrest on federal charges, police say a search of Robertson’s apartment in New London turned up cocaine, heroin and thousands of dollars in cash. Robertson now faces charges of possessing cocaine and heroin, possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking offense and possession of a firearm by a previously convicted felon.
