State police search for bear shooter

ROXBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — State environmental police are looking for whoever shot and killed a bear.

The adult male black bear was found dead last week on Roxbury Land Trust Property adjacent to Upper County Road.

The department of environmental protection says the bear was killed somewhere than dumped.

It is illegal to kill a bear in Connecticut.
