Gunshot detection report leads to 2 arrests in Hartford

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Police in Hartford responded to a gunshot detection report on 110 Victoria Road on Tuesday night.

Police recovered three .40 caliber Smith and Wesson casings. After the Hartford Shooting Task Force conducted their investigation it lead them to a person of interest on Wethersfield Avenue. Then after another interview it lead to the development of a second person of interest.

Police arrested 22-year-old Yowseph Lopez of East Hartford and 21-year-old Anthony Braica of Hartford.

Lopez is being charged with weapons in a motor vehicle, possession pistol without a permit, unlawful discharge of a firearm, reckless endangerment, and possession high-capacity magazine.

Braica is charged with weapons in a motor vehicle. Police took a firearm containing ammunition from his car.
