Torrington schools director arrested following harassment complaint by BOE employee

TORRINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — The Director of Secondary Education for Torrington Public schools was arrested Thursday by Torrington Police, after a harassment complaint was made by a Board of Education employee for the town.

The complaint against Eric Baim was made on April 27 by an employee assigned to the Torrington High School. Baim, who is employed by the Torrington Board of Education, was charged on an arrest warrant with breach of peace second-degree following a month long investigation.

The 41-year-old from Southington was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Bantam Superior court on June 6th, 2016.
