26-year-old killed after hit by 2 cars in Waterbury


WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — A Bridgeport man has died after he was hit by two cars in Waterbury overnight.

Connecticut State Police say 26-year-old Melvin Gordils of Bridgeport was in the roadway of the Route 8 Exit 33 ramp to I-84 west around 2 a.m. when he was hit by a car. Police say Gordils was then struck by a second car. He was pronounced dead on scene.

Route 8 southbound at the Exit 33 connector was closed for approximately four hours while police investigated the accident.
