Man arrested after kicking woman in stomach

MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH)  –  A Milford man is facing various charges after he threw a woman to the ground and kicked her in the stomach.

Milford Police have charged 26 year old Christopher Wesolowski with assault 3rd, breach of peace 2nd (2 counts), interfering with arrest, and assault on a police officer.

According to police officers responded to Rivercliff Drive and Housatonic Drive on Saturday for a possible domestic violence incident that was occurring in a moving vehicle.  Police say Wesolowski and a woman began arguing as they were driving down Rivercliff Drive and the argument turned physical once when they got out of the vehicle.  Police found the woman following the assault and located Wesolowski later near the Margaret Egan Center where he fled police but kicked an officer when they caught up with him.
