Hartford Scaffolding Collapse – Worker Falls Three Stories

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – A worker fell three stories at a construction site at 31 Seymour Street today when scaffolding collapsed. Hartford Fire Department was called to the scene. The worker was unconscious, in critical condition, and sent to Hartford Hospital.

Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) was notified to investigate. The worked was employed by Total Wall Systems out of Bloomfield, CT. Police secured the scene.

Hartford Hospital assisted with traffic control by sending their employees to another entrance. OSHA completed their initial investigation. The worker’s family was notified and responded to the hospital.
