SCOTLAND, Conn. (WTNH) – Connecticut State Police arrested and charged a Scotland man after a police pursuit.
Troopers arrested Jonathan Bourque, 49, of Scotland on Thursday after reporting to the scene of a burglary and later noticing a vehicle speeding along the Brooklyn Turnpike.
According to State Police, the troopers attempted to catch up and stop the driver, when the car pulled into the driveway of a known drug house.
State Police told News 8 the driver tried to hide the car behind the house, but the troopers caught up to Bourque before he could run into the home.
Troopers found Bourque to be in possession of both heroin and cocaine, and they also discovered that the car had no insurance, misused plates, no active registration and that Bourque had a suspended driver’s license.
Bourque faces a number of charges.
He is scheduled to appear in court on June 15th.
