CORINNA, Maine (AP) — Maine officials have yet to release new details on the investigation into a 7-year-old boy who was attacked and killed by a dog.
The Penobscot (peh-NAHB’-skaht) County Sheriff’s Office says it happened Saturday evening in the town of Corinna, about 30 miles west of Bangor.
Sheriffs say the responded to a house on Moody Mills Road at about 5:15 p.m. They say the boy was dead at the scene.
Authorities have not yet released the boy’s name or the breed of the dog involved in the attack. No one else was injured.
Officials said Saturday the dog has been impounded and the investigation is continuing.
