NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — This summer will feature the most wide-ranging event slate in New Haven in recent years.
This includes 28 special events in the form of festivals, street fairs, concerts, showcases and more, taking place over city wide over the course of 63 days
The events celebrate music, sports, film, food, theatre, shopping, the arts and more, showing all that New Haven has to offer its residents and visitors
More than half of the events planned are free and open to the public.

- The International Festival of Arts & Ideas
- FREE! Friday Flicks
- 4th of July Fireworks
- Music on the Green
- New Haven Jazz Festival
- Connecticut Open and
- New Haven Grand Prix
As well as a lineup of new events, including
- The first –ever New Haven Dragon Boat Regatta on Longwharf
- Slide the City a giant water-slide on Prospect Street
- Opera-Palozzza, an evening of opera arias on the New Haven Green
