Hartford terminates the contract of Yard Goats stadium developer

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Hartford city officials announced Monday afternoon that they intend to remove the developer of the Yard Goats stadium from the construction project.

At 2:45 p.m., Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin held a news conference to announce the removal of DoNo and Centerplan as stadium contractors. Bronin said that he wished that the city did not have to take this step, but the city has lost confidence in the contractors to get the stadium completed without additional costs.

“They [DoNo and Centerplan] got this contract as a single bidder. I think that they were in over their heads,” Bronin told reporters Monday.
