MERIDEN, Conn. (AP) — Police are searching for a man in connection with a drive-by shooting in Meriden that seriously injured a bystander.
Deon Camp is charged with first-degree assault, reckless endangerment and related crimes stemming from the May 2 shooting.
Police say the 23-year-old Camp fired a gun from a moving vehicle at a man in front of 126 Willow Street. They say Camp missed his intended target and instead struck a bystander who was not involved in the altercation. The bystander was shot in the neck and suffered serious injuries.
Camp is believed to be in the area and should be considered armed and dangerous.
