State Police investigating ‘untimely death’ of Montville teenager

MONTVILLE, Conn. (WTNH) — A 14-year-old died on Sunday from an apparent gunshot wound, Connecticut State Police say.

State Troopers were called to Allen Street at 7:45 Sunday night. Eastern District Major Crime detectives also responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.

The Medical Examiner will work with State Police detectives to positively identify the person. State Police will only say the deceased is a male.

Trooper Kelly Grant tells News 8 that this is an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public.
