Man in critical condition after Bristol shooting

BRISTOL, Conn. (WTNH) — A Plymouth man is in critical, but stable condition after he was shot in Bristol overnight.

Bristol police say just before 3 a.m. Saturday, they responded to a report of shots fired and a victim on the ground near 36-40 South Street Extension. Officers found 27-year-old Timothy Norris of Plymouth with a single gunshot wound to the upper abdomen. Police say he was sitting in a vehicle parked in front of the address. Norris was taken to the hospital for surgery.

Police say the incident does not appear to be random, but it remains under investigation. Police recovered evidence from the scene, including a gun.
