North Haven FD investigating suspicious fire on vacant property

NORTH HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — The North Haven Fire Department is investigating what they are calling a suspicious fire that broke out early Saturday morning.

North Haven Fire Chief Paul Januszewski says crews were called to 124 Mansfield Road around 4:45 a.m. Saturday. When they arrived, they found a three-car garage on a vacant property fully engulfed in flames.

Wallingford Fire responded to assist. The fire was put out and no injuries were reported.

The cause and origin of the fire is under investigation, but officials believe the fire to be suspicious.

Anyone with information is asked to call the North Haven Fire Department.
