New Haven police looking for armed gas station robber

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Police in New Haven are looking for the man who robbed a gas station at gunpoint.

According to officials, the suspect went into the Shell gas station at 141 Willow Street just before 1 a.m. on Saturday morning. The clerk told police the suspect made him open the register, then took off with the entire cash drawer with about $500 in it.

Police describe the suspect as a dark complexioned black man with a mustache and a tattoo on his forehead. They say he’s likely in his late teens or early twenties, stands about 5’9″ tall, and weighs about 150 pounds.
