South Windsor police seek input on Route 5 crash

SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH) — Due to conflicting statements over a Route 5 crash on the night of June 8, South Windsor police are asking for witnesses to come forward with any information they may have.

South Windsor Deputy Chief Scott Custer sent out a statement regarding an accident on Route 5, that transpired around 10 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8, at the I-291 ramps. The crash involved a red Dodge Caravan and a blue Ford Explorer.

Custer says that the operators’ statements conflict, and public input might provide some clarity. He says there were very minor injuries involved, and neither operator was hospitalized.

Anyone with any pertinent information is asked to call Officer Tina Mazzoccolo at (860) 644-2551.
