1 dead, 1 injured in East Hartford shooting

EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — East Hartford police are investigating an early morning shooting on Plain Drive that has left one man dead and a woman injured.

Just before 4:15 a.m., officers were dispatched to the area of 264 Plain Drive on a report of a shooting. Responding officers found a man and woman at the scene.

Police tell News 8 that the man was pronounced dead shortly after they located the victims. The woman has been transported to a local hospital for care. East Hartford police did not comment on the extent of her injuries. Neither victim has been yet been identified.

Two other individuals, an adult female and a juvenile, were inside the residence during the incident. Neither were injured.

East Hartford police are conducting their investigation. Officers spoke with News 8 and said they currently don’t have a suspect description. They are following-up on leads that they’ve gotten so far.
