Motorcyclist injured in crash in Norwich

NORWICH, Conn. (WTNH) – A motorcyclist had to be flown to a hospital after an accident with a truck.

Norwich Police tell News 8, around 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, Norwich Police, East Great Plain Fire Department and American Ambulance responded to an accident between a motorcycle and a truck in the area of 109 Salem Turnpike.

The motorcyclist was flown to Backus Hospital with serious injuries and later flown to Hartford Hospital.

The name of the motorcyclist has yet to be released.

Anyone who may have witnessed the accident is asked to contact Officer Scott Meikle or Officer Thomas Lazzaro at 860-886-5561.
