Norwich woman cited in dog attack


Norwich, Conn. (WTNH)- A Norwich woman has been cited for several violations in connection with a dog attack that left three people, including a six year old child injured.

50 year old Regina Barnhill has been cited for allowing a dog to roam, failure to license, failure to vaccinate and three counts of nuisance/vicious disposition in the case.

According to police, the pitbull owned by Barnhill was roaming in the area of Golden Street when the attacks occurred. Animal control officers later took the dog into quarantine. One of the victims suffered a severe injury to the ear and is now receiving treatment at Backus Hospital.
