Police: Drunk, sleeping man arrested with car running

NORWICH, Conn. (WTNH) — Police in Norwich received a report a person fell asleep behind the wheel of a running car at the intersection of Ox Hill Road and Canterbury Turnpike Friday morning at 1:30 a.m.

34-year-old Joshua Glover of Norwich was arrested after performing a sobriety test. Police found Glover behind the wheel with the car still in drive and foot on the break.

He informed the officer he possessed a valid pistol permit. Glover had a Ruger .40 caliber handgun concealed on his hip.

He was charged with operating under the influence of liquor and drugs, and possession of a firearm under the influence of liquor and drugs.

Glover was released on $5,000 bond. He is expected back in court on June 28th.
