Springfield woman arrested for Walmart larceny

EAST WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH) — East Windsor Police arrested a Massachusetts woman today for stealing almost $600 in merchandise from Walmart.

At approximately 7:52 p.m. Friday, East Windsor Police responded to calls saying a larceny had taken place at the East Windsor Walmart. Officers examined security footage and determined that the suspect had fled the store on foot.

Police and Walmart personnel searched the parking lot for potentially involved vehicles and came across Katrina Martin, 19 of Springfield, Massachusetts, whose appearance and clothing matched the person seen in the surveillance videos. Martin had pushed a cart filled with $591.46 of merchandise and tried to exit the store. When confronted by Walmart employees, Martin abandoned the merchandise and fled to the parking lot.
