VERNON, Conn. (WTNH) — A $500 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of a man who robbed a Vernon bank on Friday.
Police say the suspect went into Berkshire Bank on Hartford Turnpike at around 11:20 a.m. and gave the teller a note demanding money. They say because of how he stood, the teller thought he had a weapon under his shirt, but one was never seen.
Police describe the suspect as a 5’8″ to 5’9″ tall, stocky, white man about 50 years old. They say he wore blue jeans, a white t-shirt, glasses, and what appears to be a brown “driver’s cap.”
Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call (860) 872-9126.
