Former Member of U.S. Navy Pleads Guilty on Charges

NEW LONDON, Conn. (WTNH)- A former member of the U.S. Navy pleaded guilty today to enticing minors to perform sexually explicit acts online. 29-year-old Adam Simpson was stationed in New London when those online video chats took place.

Court documents show Simspon used video chatting services like Skype, Omegle, and ooVoo to entice girls  between 12-years-old and 16-years-old to engage in sexually explicit conduct. Court documents show it happened between January of 2013 and November of 2013. Court documents show SImpson used a fake age and pictures of a young boy to deceive those young girls.
Simpson is scheduled to be sentenced in September. He faces a mandatory minimum prison term of 10 years and a maximum of a life sentence.
