Speeding Trator-Trailer rolls over in New London

NEW LONDON, Conn. (WTNH)  –  A tractor trailer carrying coiled steel rolled over Wednesday closing an I-95 on ramp for several hours.

New London Police say the flatbed trailer had 78,000 pounds of steel picked up from the state when it rolled over on the Route 32 North ramp connecting to North Frontage Road and I-95 South at 3:23 p.m.

It was determined that the load of coiled steel was not properly secured and that the driver was going too fast on the ramp.

The driver, 59 year old Paul Decrisanti of Waterbury was issued an infraction for operating at an unreasonable speed.
