Officer dragged by fleeing vehicle

MANCHESTER, Conn. (WTNH)  –  Police in Manchester are looking for the vehicle and driver that dragged an officer this morning.

Manchester Police say an office spotted a vehicle driving erratically around 5:30 a.m. on Starkweather Street.  The vehicle pulled into a driveway and while the officer was questioning the driver the operator put the vehicle in drive and dragged the Sergeant a short distance before the Sergeant fell to the ground and the suspect fled.  The Sergeant was treated for minor injuries.

Police describe the suspect vehicle they are looking for as a grey 2005 Ford Explorer with CT Registration 680ZTO that was reported stolen from East Haven.   Anyone with any information is asked to call Manchester Police at 860-645-5500.
