State Labor Department offering free employment workshops

(WTNH) — The Connecticut Department of Labor is helping people across the state get back on their feet this summer.

They kicked off a month-long program Friday that will offer a variety of training and employment workshops for free.

On top of that, they’re helping folks sharpen their skills when it comes to modern-day technology.

“It’s not the same as applying through want ads any longer there’s a whole new way of job searching and technology is a big part of that and we offer information on how to use that technology and how to do the job searching,” said Mark Polzella with the Labor Department.

If you’re interested in what they’re offering, the Department of Labor has more information on it’s website.
