Six-year-old pulled from lake in Torrington

(WTNH)–A six-year-old girl is recovering on Monday night after being pulled from a lake in Torrington.

The incident happened at a lake at Burr Pond State Park on Sunday night. Officials from the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection said the girl was taken to the hospital after nearly drowning.

The girl was conscious when she was pulled from the water, according to officials. The lake just so happened to be the same spot where a four-year-old boy drowned last weekend.
