HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — From  super heroes to comic book, anime and video game characters, the Hartford Convention Center will be packed this weekend with those celebrating the spirit of gaming and fantasy at ConnectiCon. This is one of the largest multi-cultural events on the East Coast and sure to be the highlight of the year when it comes to family fun.

The weekend-long event kicked off on Friday, July 8th with continuation on Saturday (9am until 9pm on both days) and concludes on Sunday, July 10th (9am until 5pm)

One of the draws are the amazing costumes you’ll see. The majority of attendees do come fully dressed in character – we’ve seen everything from Batman to Zelda to those dressed in Star Wars apparel and even elaborate original costumes! Get your cameras ready, there’s no shortage in people watching here and some may even win costume contests.

ConnectiCon also has some great guests lined up all weekend long for panel discussions and activities. Attendees will learn from renowned actors, gamers and experts, some of which will hold autograph sessions too.
