Dirt bike stolen from Plainfield garage

PLAINFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — Plainfield Police have arrested a man in connection with the burglary of a dirt bike along Spaulding Road.

Officers were dispatched to the area Saturday morning on the report that someone had broken into a garage. The victims told police a 2015 Yamaha 110 dirt bike, as well as several chainsaws were taken during the overnight hours.

Police later developed a suspect and went to a home at 256 Spaulding Road. Police tell News 8 they located their suspect, as well as the stolen dirt bike and chainsaws.

The suspect has been identified as 29-year-old Joseph Verrette of Plainfield.

Verrette faces burglary and larceny charges. He was issued a $10,000 bond and is due in Danielson Superior Court on an unspecified date.
