Activists disrupt Chick-fil-A’s “Cow Appreciation Day”

WALLINGFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Animal rights activists marched into the Chick-fil-A on North Colony Road in Wallingford to protest the chain’s “Cow Appreciation Day.”

They described the day as more of a celebration of violence rather than a day of appreciation. Activists at the store held signs showing nonhuman animals.

“If Chick-fil-A served the bodies of dogs and held a ‘Chicken Appreciation Day’ there would be an outcry,” said local activist Hanh Nguyen, “but the offense they’re committing today is no less.”
