Death of 2-month-old in Stamford ruled a homicide

STAMFORD, Conn. (WTNH)  –  Stamford Police announced Wednesday that the suspicious death of a two-month old girl has been ruled a homicide.

Police say EMS was called to the Little Bears Beginnings Daycare shortly after 3 p.m. on Tuesday and were taking Bella Redondo to the hospital when she stopped breathing. She was pronounced dead at Stamford Hospital after efforts to revive her failed.

According to Stamford Police, there was evidence of head trauma in addition to the breathing issues.

The case is now being treated as a criminal investigation and with be headed by the Chief States Attorney.
