Groton officer traveling to Dallas for police funerals

GROTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Shoreline police will be joining the officers representing Connecticut at the Dallas funerals.

Officer Kim Snyder of the Groton Town Police Department will be heading to Texas on Friday morning to support her fellow officers. She plans to go to a memorial service on Friday night and the final funeral on Saturday. Snyder has represented Groton at five funerals and she says it gets harder each time.

“It definitely makes you sad inside and wish you could have done something to change it or could have been there when things were happening and help save someone else,” said Ofc. Snyder.

Snyder will be joined by officers from Madison and West Haven, as well as officers from Middletown who left for Dallas Wednesday morning.
