2 men injured in stabbing outside Norwich home

NORWICH, Conn. (WTNH)– Police are investigating a stabbing that happened outside of a Norwich home Friday night.

Police say at 9:44 p.m., officers responded to a report of a stabbing in front of a home on Taftville Occum Road. An investigation revealed that two men who knew each other, were involved in a physical altercation which resulted in both of them sustaining knife wounds.

Both males were treated at William W. Backus Hospital. While one of them sustained a serious stab wound, both men are expected to recover from their injuries.

Police have not released their identities at this time. The incident remains under investigation and arrests are anticipated.
