VERNON, Conn. (AP) — A Connecticut man is facing charges after police say he crashed his SUV and had to be revived with Narcan.
Police say the crash happened around 3:30 a.m. Saturday on Route 83 in Vernon.
Responding officers found that a 2006 Jeep had struck a utility pole before rolling over.
The driver of the SUV, 21-year-old Luke Edwards, of Madison, was unresponsive. Emergency personnel administered Narcan to Edwards, who then regained consciousness. He was taken to Hartford Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Police arrested Edwards at the hospital, charging him with driving under the influence.
He was released on a bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 25.
It’s unclear if Edwards has retained a lawyer. Online public records don’t list a telephone number for him.
