Cruisin’ Connecticut – “Cycling For Wellness” at the Connecticut Science Center

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – Today we’re Cruisin’ Connecticut to Hartford, to a new exhibit at the Connecticut Science Center.

Marketing Director, Tracy Shirer says the exhibit, “Cycling for Wellness” is promoting fitness for kids:

So this exhibit is brand new, it was developed in conjunction with United Healthcare who has a fantastic, world-class, pro cycling team. So you can start by creating and building your own bike from scratch, then moving on to actually compete and racing against your friends and your family.

Shirer also gave us an outdoor tour of the science center’s rooftop garden, which also benefits a wonderful local cause. “Michaela’s Garden” in conjunction with the Petit Family Foundation, propagates plants that were in her garden. Visitors can purchase seeds from the garden, and are planted across the U.S. promoting love and hope.
