Milford police actively searching for hit-and-run driver

MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Milford police are asking the public for help in identifying a driver that fled the scene after striking a motorcyclist on Bridgeport Avenue Thursday afternoon.

According to police, a car and motorcyclist collided near 950 Bridgeport Avenue just before 2:00 p.m. on Thursday afternoon. Officers say the motorcyclist was a man, but did not release his identity. The victim was taken to Bridgeport Hospital for serious injuries.

The car involved was a silver sedan that instantly fled the scene, according to police. Bridgeport Avenue remains closed between Robert Treat Parkway and Seemans Lane while police conduct their investigation.
