Nott Street closed for hours following one-car crash

WETHERSFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — Wethersfield police and crews with Eversource responded to a crash on Nott Street early Thursday morning, after a car collided with a utility pole.

Around 6:30 a.m., police officers and AMR crews were dispatched to the 700 block of Nott Street in Wethersfield, on a report of a car versus utility pole. First responders saw to the sole occupant of the vehicle, transporting them to a local hospital for minor injuries.

Eversource was called shortly after, and has reported that 161 customers lost power as a result of the damaged utility pole. Nott Street will be closed through the majority of the afternoon, between Cedar Street and Ridge Road, while crews work to repair the pole and restore power.
