NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) Monday is July 25th which could be considered “Christmas in July.” While many of you aren’t thinking about Christmas yet, there are some deals that may make you want to.

We’re still five months away from the big day but if you want to save money on gifts, you may want to shop now! Kiplinger says running sneakers for example may be cheaper now because of all the road races this time of year. Many athletic stores offer discounts to persuade less serious runners to buy new footwear.

Warm months are also a great time to buy treadmills and exercise equipment. People are doing more exercising outside so retailers mark their equipment down to generate more sales.

Dishware is another one to consider. They’re marked down to cater to wedding guests since it’s peak wedding season right now.

If you’re in the market for a new laptop, deals for back-to-school are starting to surface: look at Apple and Dell for markdowns this week. You’ll also find online and in-store deals on luggage! It’s a popular gift to give anyone planning to travel. Your dollar may just travel or at least stretch farther if you buy it for them now.

Also, vacuums, most new models were released in June so retailers may be looking to unload their older inventory.
