WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (WTNH) — The Connecticut National Guard will be getting a new Black Hawk helicopter added to its fleet.
The helicopter will be flown Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. in Windsor Locks.
This is the third hh-60m Black Hawk helicopter to be added to the National Guard.
The Black Hawk will be equipped for medical evaluations and will have medical support while moving patients.
The helicopter will be officially activated in September.
Once activated, the unit will be tasked with providing aeromedical evacuation, extensive en-route critical care and medical support while moving patients.
