New Haven area gas prices declining

NEW HAVEN, Conn.  (WTNH)  –  The average retail price for gasoline in the New Haven area is down 4 cents in the past week according to Gasbuddy.com.

Gasbuddy reports the average prices is now $2.29 per gallon in the New Haven area compared to $2.15 per gallon nationally.  The national average price is 56.6 cents lower than it was one year ago.

According to Gasbuddy the average price in Connecticut is $2.31.   It is also $2.31 in Waterbury and $2.41 in Bridgeport

Gasbuddy attributes the decline in prices to the glut of oil and refined products.
