Cruisin’ Connecticut – Discovering a “Zonkey” in Goshen, CT

GOSHEN, Conn. (WTNH) – Today we’re Cruisin’ Connecticut to Goshen, to Action Wildlife! What was once a 116 acre dairy farm, has grown to be one of the most unique animal attractions in the state.

With an eclectic mix of over 32 species of animals, the farm offers a learning experience for families. One of the most peculiar animals on the plot of land, is “Zorbo the Zonkey.” A zonkey is a cross-breed of a donkey and a zebra.

Manager, Mike Matson says the zonkey isn’t the most “people friendly” animal, but is a sight to see!

Visitors can get up close and personal with a kids petting zoo, safari ride, and a taxidermy museum that has been 30 years in the making.
