Cruisin’ Connecticut – Design Bloggers Lend a Helping Hand at “Habitat House”

PORTLAND, Conn. (WTNH) – Today we’re Cruisin’ Connecticut to Portland, where Habitat for Humanity is building a dream for a Connecticut family!

Local contractors, businesses and the well-deserving homeowners put in hundreds of hours of work to complete the project.

A group of Connecticut-based design bloggers joined forces to give the “Habitat House” a touch of love on the inside, to match the work on the outside.

Charlotte Smith from Bloggers Heart Habitat was one of the designers who volunteered during the project:

I have a group of bloggers and one thing that we do well is we take really inexpensive, thrifted stuff and then we make it look lovely. And so we partnered with habitat thinking that maybe we could bring that superpower into fruition. Every room had a pair of bloggers that worked on it. And in this room, two bloggers built the furniture from scratch.
