NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — The ‘Hoop It Up’ basketball tournament organizers received hundreds of donated basketballs and 1,000 donated books at New Haven City Hall Thursday morning.

Teams from Hartford and Bridgeport will travel and compete against teams from New Haven on Saturday, August 6th and Sunday, August 7th. The basketballs and books will be given to participants in the tournament.
