Overturned car leads to backups in Hamden

HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Traffic was even more congested than normal on Thursday morning a little after 7 a.m. in Hamden.

State Police reported that a car flipped over on the Wilbur Cross Parkway going northbound. The accident occurred between exits 59 and 60, where the left lane was closed for a short time.

The congestion took place between the exits 58 and 60 and the traffic went on for 6.5 miles.

Police reported that the person in the car only suffered minor injuries and no one was transported to the hospital.
